It is official, production for “Ahsoka,” the newest Disney+ original series, has started today. The Star Wars Instagram account has posted a director’s chair with the title of the show on the back with a familiar-looking hat hanging on the side.

No. The hat is not something from a costume that Ahsoka may use to blend in, but its Dave Filoni’s signature cowboy hat. A great sign to show that this new original series, featuring his original character, is safely in his hands. From The Clone Wars on, Filoni has produced nothing but gold for the franchise.

Rosario Dawson will play the lead role of Ahsoka Tano in this series that will take place around the time of The Mandalorian. Ahsoka will allegedly look for Ezra Bridger, the Jedi that went missing at the end of Filoni’s show, Star Wars: Rebels

There aren’t many other details about the show just yet. There is no scheduled release date . Fans can look forward to the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi on May 27th. There is still no release date for The Mandalorian season 3.
