There have been tons of recent rumors about the Ahsoka series lately. The rumors report that there will be flashbacks to a young Ahsoka Tano as we follow the battle-hardened version played by Rosario Dawson. In these rumored flashbacks, there will be a heated lightsaber battle between her and her former master, Darth Vader. The fight in Rebels was an exciting one to watch, so a live-action one will certainly be welcomed.
The storyline remains a rumor, but it should get fans excited for the upcoming series. Ahsoka will pick up where we had left off with her in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. She still has her own things to do, as she intends to hunt down Thrawn and find her friend and Jedi, Ezra Bridger. But it appears there will be more to it.
Who is Teen Ahsoka?
There is exclusive news from Nerdgazm that reports that young Ahsoka has been cast. The role belongs to Savanna Steyn, who was in the recent HBO hit, House of The Dragon. It appears that she will jump from dragon to spaceship and head into a Galaxy far, far away.
The young actress will most likely help progress Ahsoka’s story in the present through crucial flashbacks to the Clone Wars and her life before Order 66. The two animated series, The Clone Wars and Rebels, have shown how much Ahsoka Tano has been through; hopefully, Savannah Steyn can show more of how she’s become so battle-hardened.
There are rumors that Ahsoka will explore the “World Between Worlds” in the series. Rather than the expected flashbacks, she’ll come face to face with a younger version of herself. This is where Savannah Steyn comes in, perhaps this is also where Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader for another duel. Again, these remain rumors; none of this information has any confirmation by Lucasfilm or Disney.
This news from Nerdgazm aligns with the recent rumors of a Clone Wars-era Ahsoka appearing. Exactly how is still unknown, and the team for the series has codenames for the different versions of Ahsoka’s, which confirms that they intend to feature more than one, but also how under wraps this information is. With how well they had surprised the world with The Mandalorian season finales, it is no surprise that they’ll keep this information sealed.
Rosario Dawson is still the lead for the series and will reprise her live-action version of Ahsoka Tano. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will bring a live-action Sabine Wren to life.
Bordizzo had reported she finished filming for the series and the rest of the cast was expected to finish shortly after.
The series is expected sometime in late 2023, exclusively on Disney+. Have you seen the trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
