Boba Fett is Getting a New Look for His Show

First his starship and now his armor, it appears that Disney is changing everything about this iconic character. Boba Fett, who has been one of the most recognizable characters from the entire franchise, has seen a lot of renovations. From his touched-up armor in The Mandalorian season 2 to his ship getting renamed “Firespray” to the reveal of his original name, Alpha, in The Bad Batch, it looks like poor old Boba can’t catch a break.

His show, The Book of Boba Fett, was announced after the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. In that finale, we got to see the return of Luke Skywalker at the height of his Jedi career. He sliced through the dark troopers like butter, and Jon Favreau had blown fans away. But Luke wasn’t the only surprise that season. The first episode introduced Cobb Vanth, who had possession of Boba Fett’s armor, and at the end of that episode, we saw the iconic Boba Fett.

Boba returned to the screen, front and center, in Chapter 14: “The Tragedy” where we had seen him bust Stormtrooper helmets like it was nothing. He had teamed up with Din Djarin to help recover the child and help out a fellow Mandalorian. From there, Boba was now a part of the team for The Mandalorian.

The news is still a rumor, as we have not seen any sort of confirmation, like concept art for the show, but it comes from a credible source.

Thanks to insidethemagic.net, we have some new news regarding Boba Fett and the spin-off show that talks about what to expect. In that reveal, we see that there will be some changes to Boba Fett and his iconic green beskar armor:

Boba Fett in Jabba’s Throne

Some new details have emerged about what fans can potentially expect when The Book of Boba Fett officially debuts on the Disney+ streaming platform this December.

In the series, Boba Fett is in revenge mode. He will be going after everyone who did him wrong in the past, and he will also be looking for the other bounty hunters. And even more — he will be doing it with a new look to his armor!

We don’t know exactly what this means, will the armor be a different color? Will there be specific markings on it? Will Boba Fett completely rebrand himself now that he has Jabba’s Palace? Until the show releases, we don’t know for sure.

But, what we do know from the quote is that the series will be full of action as Boba Fett travels the galaxy searching for those who wronged him in the past. Boba already went back and took out Bib Fortuna and his men in Jabba’s Palace, so he will most likely want to seek revenge on those who left him to die in the Sarlacc pit. Other bounty hunters, like Dengar or Cad Bane, who is rumored to appear, might be his target of choice. Han Solo is the one who knocked him in, so he could be after the infamous smuggler, too.

The show will release on Disney+ this December. Jon Favreau, the creator behind The Mandalorian, has teased that The Book of Boba Fett is “The Mandalorian season 2.5″, so there is a very good chance that Din Djarin, Bo-Katan, Cobb Vanth, or even Luke Skywalker could appear.

The show’s creators have confirmed that the show will also explore Boba’s past and that we will see the Sarlacc incident. That also means that we could potentially see Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt, and other famous characters from Return of the Jedi and the rest of the Original Trilogy.
