Taika Waititi is a very successful director. He directed Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit, along with the season finale of The Mandalorian. His next project will be to direct and co-write the newest Star Wars film set to hit theatres in 2022. He’s more than qualified to write the next great Star Wars film.
Waititi’s ability to succeed was seen in Chapter 8 of The Mandalorian. The episode was one of the best of the season and had mixed humor, thrill, and heartbreak all into one. The man has proven to know Star Wars and this new movie already seems very promising. He is also the voice of IG-11.

Joining Waititi on this project is Krysty Wilson-Cairns. She is an Academy Award nominee and has won a BAFTA for 1917. She will be a great addition to the Star Wars team.
Lastly, Leslye Headland is set to write an untitled Star Wars series for Disney+. Rumor has it that it will be a strong woman lead who will explore the galaxy in a timeline unfamiliar to the films and what we know now. It will be exciting to see the new Star Wars shows that Disney has in store for us.
We will have The Cassian Andor series, the Kenobi series, The Mandalorian, and now this newly untitled one, which are you most excited for?
Thank you for reading and may the force be with you!
