Studio Ghibli has teased a collaboration with Lucasfilm. This official tweet entices a mystery series that will be in anime style. The studio is famous for anime hits like Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Howl’s Moving Castle. The news from this super successful studio is stirring excitement in fans. The success of Star Wars: Visions proved that Star Wars can shift to an anime style. The only real complaint with Visions was that the series was not long enough.
The teaser posted does not hint at anything aside from the collaboration. It is just the Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli logos put together. Lucasfilm could expand the franchise and do more with anime, but the most logical thing would be to keep the already-established Visions name and continue the theme of different short stories.

Studio Ghibli is successful in producing anime films, so they could possibly get the green light to make a Star Wars anime film for Disney+. But this is only speculation based on the history of the studio. There is also a possibility of their own series with a chance of running multiple seasons. No matter the choice made by Lucasfilm, the series that Studio Ghibli produced will have a lot of potentials.
What Else?
For now, you can expect The Bad Batch on January 4; The Mandalorian season 3 is rumored to be released on February 22; Ahsoka has finished filming, while The Acolyte has begun with Andor season 2 following shortly behind.
