Star Wars: The Mandalorian is one of Disney+’s hottest shows. Din Djarin’s journey in the galaxy a few years after the fall of the Empire has captivated audiences around the world and even won a few awards along the way. Season 2 had ended with a huge surprise as it brought Luke Skywalker back to the screen through CGI.

Now, season 3 is officially under works as many of the stars have begun filming. Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga, had announced on his Twitter account that he has started filming and confirmed that season 3 is, in fact, underway. Carl Weather’s role in this series will most likely grow even more than it already has. He had been pushed slightly to the side for Gina Carano’s character, Cara Dune, but because she is now out of the picture, Karga will possibly step up and take on a larger role.

With that said, other characters will be returning to the studio to prepare for season 3’s premiere set to come out sometime after The Book of Boba FettThe Mandalorian production had gotten pushed back due to Boba’s new show, but it feels like a small price to pay for a potentially exciting show centered around one of the most iconic characters to come out of the franchise.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN SEASON 3?

Now that Grogu is gone and under the care of Luke Skywalker, fans are eager to find out where the show will head. Din Djarin’s story is still not finished; he just acquired the darksaber from Moff Gideon and still needs to find other Mandalorians. In season 2, he had successfully found Bo-Katan, who was after the darksaber. Will they team up and use the darksaber to reunite what once was, or will Bo-Katan allow the notion of its power to tear them apart?

Din Djarin and Bo-Katan

Will we see more of Grogu and Luke? Or Ahsoka and her mission to find Thrawn? There are so many possibilities to where the show could head, and as seen in the first two seasons, the producers have done a fantastic job with surprises.
