Disney+ is releasing a LEGO Halloween Special for Star Wars on October 1st. The humor seems to be on par with last year’s Christmas Special, except this one will explore the darker side of the franchise. With today’s trailer drop, it looks like these tales will give what plenty of Star Wars fans have been asking for since the announcement of the Marvel: What If?
The trailer shows Poe Dameron crash landing on Mustafar, the planet where Vader built his infamous castle. Now that Vader is gone, the castle has been turned into an all inclusive Sith-themed hotel. There a character dressed as Emperor Palpatine eagerly awaits the opportunity to share these stories of fright with those who visit.
The character dressed like Palpatine is Vaneé, and he shares three creepy stories about the Star Wars universe, ancient artifacts, and iconic characters from the entire franchise. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the three stories, “The Lost Boy” is the story of how young Ben Solo first meets Ren. This will be an exciting origin story for Ben that dives further into his past post his incident with his uncle, Luke.
The second story is “The Dueling Monstrosities.” This story will explore how both Darth Maul and General Grievous were reborn. This is a great opportunity for Disney and LEGO to expand on the stories of these two iconic villains as they rose from the ashes to become some of the most dangerous figures in the entire galaxy.
Finally, in “The Wookiee’s Paw,” we look at what may have happened if Luke’s greatest wishes had come true. In this twisted tale, Luke’s wishes work out for him, and he becomes a successful pilot, except this time it’s for the Empire, Palpatine, and his father, Darth Vader. Luke’s story will be the opposite of what we know, as this explores the “What If?” aspect of the Star Wars universe.

“After the events of The Rise of Skywalker, Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé. Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.”
What do you think about this newly announced special? The use of Graballa the Hutt is a great addition to show how greedy the Hutt’s truly are.
