Disney is had its investor day and announced what we can expect in the upcoming future of Disney and their streaming service, Disney+. Among all of the new content we can expect, there have been announcements of some Star Wars shows that were rumored and some that are completely brand new.

Star Wars: Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano will be getting her own show. Rosario Dawson will be picking her role back up as we get to see more of Ahsoka Tano’s life. This is set during the timeline of The Mandalorian so there is a very good chance we will get to see live-action Thrawn and Ezra.

The Bad Batch

Star Wars animation had blown our minds with season 7 of The Clone Wars, and now we will be getting more of it with The Bad Batch, a show about the defective clones who are used for special missions. This show will take place after The Clone Wars and will follow them as they become mercenaries.

Star Wars: Acolyte

This one will be looking more into the dark side of the force. Not only will we get a closer look into the dark side, but this will take place during the time of the Old Republic, an exciting time to look at and explore. The genre will be a mystery thriller and I might be most excited for this one.

Star Wars: Lando

It looks like we will be getting our Solo 2 in the form of the newly announced show that focuses on the smooth criminal, Lando Calrissian. During a time of the Empire and their growing grasp on the galaxy, Lando will make his money as a swindler and smuggler.

Star Wars: A Droid Story

This will take a look at the two most beloved droids in all of Star Wars. C-3PO and R2D2 will have a mission to accomplish that only they know about. This looks like it can be some great, classic Star Wars.

Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic

It may not be the two pilots from The Mandalorian, but what they are up to is a good idea of what we can expect to see for this new show that will be lead by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. No matter what direction they go, we will be in good hands.

Star Wars: Andor

This series will take a closer look at the rebel from Rogue One, Cassian Andor, and his struggles with making a life while the Empire grows and becomes increasingly intrusive in their lives. This will be a spy thriller and hopefully will keep us on the edge of our seats.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s new show will start filming next month. Hayden Christianson will be returning as Darth Vader for this show, so we will have our stars from the prequels back. This may be one of the most highly anticipated shows they have announced.

Star Wars: Visions

This is an original series of animated shorts that will take a look at Star Wars through the lens of anime creators. Disney has gotten the world’s best Japanese anime creators to bring this to life and this seems very promising in expanding Star Wars.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Patty Jenkins will be directing this new Star Wars project that will take a look into the life of a pilot in the galaxy. A daring job, but an exciting one for sure.

Overall, there is not a lot of news about Jedi action. It seems that we will be getting a good glimpse into the lives of everyone else in the Star Wars universe.

What are you most excited for?
