The Clone Wars final season is over. Dave Filoni has done an outstanding job with the show and we are all sad to see it come to an end. At least we finally have the conclusion that we had waited years for.
Everything happening now is right after Sidious ordered Order 66. The Jedi are dying all over the galaxy, but Ahsoka won’t go down without a fight. In the last episode, Ahsoka was able to help Rex remove the inhibitor chip and now he’s helping to save her life. This is a great explanation for how he got it out and the scar we see in Rebels.
Going Down
This episode is a great indication of how much Ahsoka has matured and how she still believes in the Jedi way. She refused to kill the clones even though they are trying to murder her. Ahsoka still believes in the men she had fought so many years with and built such a strong relationship with. She saw firsthand that the clones can be fixed when the chip is removed.
Ahsoka and Rex make it to the command station to start their plans to escape. Before they could leave just about every clone the ship gets to the main hanger. Jesse leads the pack this time and is adamant about completing his job.
In an effort to trick them and escape Rex and Ahsoka head down there and pose her as a prisoner. Rex explains to Jesse that if they kill Ahsoka they risk putting themselves in trouble of treason. You can see Jesse argue with himself internally, similar to how Rex did when the Order was first enacted.

Jesse chose to do his duty, like many of the clones are forced to do. He accused Rex of treason as well. Jesse has truly turned and has allowed himself to be influenced by the dark side. He threatened to execute Rex but by then the droids had done their jobs.
Maul, still on his rampage through the ship has caused the distraction needed. The guy straight up destroyed and completely destroyed the hyperdrive. What an animal.
Ahsoka and Rex are able to slip into the main hanger and open the main doors. She had recruited the help of a few droids and with them, she was able to get the means necessary to escape. Unfortunately, Maul has similar plans and steals the ship from them.
Now targets to every clone in the ship how is Ahsoka going to get out?
Maul Escapes
Kenobi said it best, Maul won’t stay dead. The guy just doesn’t want to die and he is able to getaway. Ahsoka uses the force to try and stop him and her effort is close, but once they become overpowered by the clones, she must let him fly away to safety.
Ahsoka and Rex must find a new way out and thanks to their droid friends helping to manipulate the floors of the main hanger they are able to safely get below the main hanger deck. Down there they run into some trouble, but they still are able to find a ship.

The droids are found by some clones messing with the controls and instantly executed. This is a testament to how evil the clones have become now that they refer to the chancellor as his true identity, “Darth Sidious.”
The inhibitor chip not only made them turn on the Jedi, but it also filled them with anger and hate. Darth Sidious’ plan worked perfectly, as we see it further in depth and just how much it changed these clones personalities.

The scream the droid made as they got shot was very dismal and even though it was only a droid, my mouth dropped. I did not expect this evil nature to be as evil as it was.
The Great Escape
Ahsoka and Rex are successful in escaping the crashing ship and land on the moon. They return for an emotional scene. Ahsoka pays her respect to the fallen soldiers, even though they wanted to kill her she still believes that they are good men. She knows its the chip implanted in their brains and they are unable to control themselves.
This scene is heavy, Ahsoka sets the helmets on sticks and makes the crashed ship a gravesite for them. This is also where we see Ahsoka put on the cape and hood, drop a lightsaber, and become a hidden entity in the galaxy.

No longer the superpower, the Jedi have fallen and Ahsoka must return to the shadows. Her adventures with the Martez sisters show that she has what it takes to make it without the help of the Jedi, but still, everything she had known and all the people who were closest to her are gone.
Ahsoka will change forever and the weight of that is felt through the music and fade shots.
Vader
The Emperor was quick with his uniform change. The clones quickly took up the Stormtrooper armor that we are all familiar with. Sidious was fully prepared for the shift and his rise to power. The Sith and the stormtroopers are now the rulers of the galaxy.
Next, we hear the breathing of Vader as he comes to inspect that crashed ship site. More and more emotions coming pouring out here as Vader approaches the site and picks up a familiar item in the snow. The padawan’s lightsaber.
To Vader, this is enough to show she died along with the soldiers on that ship. He ignites her weapon to confirm its her blue blade, the one he changed to match his own. The emotion we felt when Anakin gave her the weapons back and now, when he picks it up out of the snow that emotion is intensified tenfold.

I have spoken

The galaxy is now in desperate need of a new hope to save them from Sidious and Vader’s destruction.
