The Rise of Skywalker No Spoiler Review

Well, it’s finally here. The conclusion to the Skywalker Saga, a trilogy that started back in 1977 has finally been ended. The journey that Luke Skywalker started to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the force will finally be finished by someone else. An awesome conclusion to what Disney started in 2015 with The Force Awakens, The Rise of Skywalker answers many questions we had.

The journey that Luke Skywalker started to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the force will finally be finished by someone else. An awesome conclusion to what Disney started in 2015 with The Force Awakens, The Rise of Skywalker answers many questions we had.

This movie was a success, following The Last Jedi it wasn’t too hard of a task for them to complete. The Force Awakens was an excellent movie that started the Disney saga off strong, but The Last Jedi failed to keep the pace as it split the fan base even more than the prequels. In my opinion, it wasn’t a bad movie, for a Star Wars movie it was certainly subpar but overall it had excellent cinematography and offered something different than what we expected. The RIse of Skywalker felt like a Star Wars movie, the entire way through.

INTO THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

Episode IX did what it needed to do as a conclusion to the saga. The storyline is exceptional, as were the actors’ performances and the blend of the past movies into the conclusion was done well. The movie is full of thrills and adventure, as well as incorporating a lot of emotion and humor. Everything seemed to be executed well and the answers to our questions were prominently there.

Leia Organa, played by Carrie Fisher who had died shortly after the release of the last movie, was added seamlessly into this one and made it feel as though she was there. Her presence is a powerful one and her and Chewbacca, are the last of the remaining original Rebel Alliance.

Leia’s role steps up in a significant way now that Luke is gone, it is great to see Leia in such a high position and n the spotlight, for once. Chewbacca is a wonderful character to watch in this movie, as well. He keeps his personality and it feels like the same Chewbacca from the Original Trilogy. Lando makes an appearance, which gives it even more of the original trilogy effect.

The final battle of the Skywalker Saga was an epic conclusion and the one that we deserved. The rebellion was able to keep hope, even after how The Last Jedi ended. They were up against a big army with little remaining resources. So, how can they stand up against the fleet we saw in the trailer? Well, you'll need to see that for yourself.
Disney/Lucasfilm

We get to finally see an explanation to Rey’s strength in the force, as well as an answer to who she is, but that’s all we’ll say on that. As for Kylo Ren, his character in this episode completely turned me around on his character overall. He used to be toward the bottom of my list, but seeing him in this film had pushed him much further up. We get to see some deeper insight into his internal struggle and more of the cause.

A NEW STAR WARS MOVIE

A big issue with The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi was that the plot lines didn’t stray far from the Original Trilogy. The plotline for this movie was different and spectacular. They took us on a different sort of journey to conclude the saga and they did a great job. The story was able to stray from what we knew and into something that we can love.

This gives us high hopes for the new Star Wars movies to come in 2022. The Mandalorian is off to a great first season and I know everyone is dying to see the final episode next week. With the Kenobi series in the works, we’ll get our fill of Star Wars in the mean-time.

Overall, this movie was a strong finish and we are happy with the ending. The rating we give this movie is an 8.5/10. The Sandcrawler is very pleased with what we saw and the only spoiler we’ll give is you, is that we get a little shout out 😉
