LEGO has just announced three new Star Wars diorama sets that pay homage to the Original Trilogy. The LEGO sets are a part of the 18+ designation, so they are intended to be built and displayed, similar to the recent Darth Vader’s Chamber.
The three sets are now up for preorder and will ship out on April 26th.
These sets look absolutely insane. The details, the characters, and the iconic scenes they’ve chosen are very exciting pieces to add to any LEGO or Star Wars collector. The Dagobah set really sticks out the most to me; Yoda’s hut looks insane and the small part of the X-wing sticking out of the swamp is a great touch. This set, along with the others, feels very well done.
The others are just as fantastic; they have incredible details that make these dioramas pop. It looks like the Death Star Trash Compactor scene’s walls actually move, bringing to life the chaos of that scene. The Death Star Trench scene has Luke gunning to make the shot with Vader and his crew hot on his tail.
Each set will have a plaque with a quote from those scenes. A creative piece to add to each set. The quotes are:
“One thing’s for sure. We’re all gonna be a lot thinner!”
“The Force is strong with this one.”
“Do. Or do not. There is no try.”
