The wait is almost over. One of the most highly anticipated shows on the roster for Disney+ has finally gotten its release date. Kenobi, the series that will explore Obi-Wan’s life after Order 66 as he hid on Tatooine to protect Luke Skywalker, will premiere on May 25th.
It was already confirmed that the show will have a rematch between Kenobi and Vader. Hopefully, it will build on the intensity of their last fight. The show will have a few returning characters. With the way the other shows have been lately, I wouldn’t be surprised to see other familiar characters featured.
The show will star Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader. The release date was leaked a few days ago and said it would be in May. Naturally, fans speculated the release to be on May 4th, but it has now been officially confirmed by Star Wars Twitter that it will premiere on May 25th. Poetically, that is the day that A New Hope premiered in theaters.
