“Ahsoka” Series Cast Sabine Wren

Sabine Wren will be brought to live-action in the new highly anticipated Star Wars: Ahsoka series. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ and will be a spin-off to The Mandalorian. Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren, the fan-favorite character from Star Wars: Rebels.

Bordizzo made her debut as an actress as Snow Vase in Netflix’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny. She also starred in The Society and the 2019 film Crazy About You. Reps from Lucasfilm have not commented on the casting yet, but Deadline reports this news stating that they have heard this from reputable sources.

Sabine Wren

Sabine Wren playing a role in Ahsoka makes perfect sense. She was last seen in the Rebels finale with Ahsoka Tano, where they headed off to find Ezra Bridger. Ahsoka’s role in The Mandalorian, assisting Djarin with the child and searching for Thrawn, aligns with where we last saw her.

Ezra Bridger had disappeared with Thrawn after some Purrgil sent them into hyperspace along with the rest of the pod. Thrawn has since recovered and found another role of control, as he controlled the city Calodan on the planet Corvus. The magistrate worked for Thrawn and kept watch over the city.

Ahsoka, according to ProductionWeekly, is set to start production in March. There has been no confirmation from Disney or Lucasfilm, but they have had a good track record. Hayden Christensen is also rumored to appear on the show and return as Anakin Skywalker. He will be featured in flashbacks of his former padawan’s life.
