Hasbro just had a live stream where they had gone over what to expect for the upcoming new wave for the Vintage Collection. As one of the most popular lines, the Vintage Collection allows fans to recreate their favorite scenes with ease. Many of the figures are highly posable, come with some great accessories, and have accurate details for their faces and what they wear. The 3.75″ figures are easy to move around and pose while taking up a lot less space than the 6″ Black Series line.
The next wave includes IG-11, Lando Calrissian (Empire Strikes Back), Teebo, and finally, Emperor Palpatine (Return of the Jedi). These figures look great, and everyone, except Lando, comes with two accessories or more. Those additions to the figures help to bring them to life. These are not exclusives, either, so they will be available from almost all major retailers starting tomorrow, September 9th at 1 PM ET.
The new wave with these four figures wasn’t all they had announced, either.
There is going to be a Stormtrooper Build Up Pack that will be exclusive to Hasbro Pulse. The park will include four stormtroopers, three of them will be regs, and the last one is the squad leader, wearing an orange pauldron. This will go one sale on Hasbro Pulse at 1 PM tomorrow, September 9th.
Hasbro has also given us a glimpse of the box for the Haslab Razor Crest. The design fits the idea of the Vintage Collection and looks like it is straight out of the 1980s. The Razor Crest will come with a Din Djarin, Grogu, and an Off-World Jawa figure. They will all be exclusive to the Razor Crest. It is no longer available to order from Hasbro Pulse, and it will ship sometime in January.
The team at Hasbro also gave a glimpse of what to expect for the wave after IG-11. The pipeline reveal had shown to look forward to a new Yoda, 501st Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian Death Watch Airborne Trooper, and Figrin Dan from the Cantina Band. All of these figures will lend to world-building at home and offer a great opportunity to expand your collection.
After the release of Figrin Dan, hopefully, we can expect to see a Vintage Collection Cantina Playset. Something that may mimic the previous one released by Kenner, or perhaps a completely new look, one that shows off what today’s technology can create.
And it doesn’t stop there. Hasbro also announced that Target is getting another exclusive figure. Not just any exclusive figure either, but another prototype one. This time, rather than Vader or Boba Fett, we will be getting a Stormtrooper. The packaging and vibrant colors will be the same, and the stormtrooper will have different color variations. This figure will be available tomorrow, September 9th.
On the topic of exclusives, every collector’s favorite retailer, Wal-Mart, has gotten four new exclusive figures. They will be the carbonized figures, similar to the ones released last year. The four figures are The Armorer, Incinerator Trooper, Moff Gideon, and The Shoretrooper. All of them will be on The Mandalorian cards. Pre-orders will be available for the carbonized figures on October 7th. Two other figures were announced today, too. One of those is Bib Fortuna (Return of the Jedi), and he looks incredible. The details in his face and clothes seem like they are all there. The second figure is Lobot, Lando Calrissian’s assistant on Cloud City. Lobot is a very unique character who has an interesting backstory story, one that is worth checking out.
Here are the newly announced figures:
