The Clone Wars Planets: Season 7

Welcome to the Sandcrawler News, and welcome back to the final Clone Wars planet series article. This is bitter-sweet to make as the planet series has been a long and very enjoyable journey.

Anaxes

The first episode of this season takes place on the planet Anaxes. This is in the core world’s sector. During the Clone Wars, Admiral Trench had moved in to take over the planet, but the Jedi or the Bad Batch wouldn’t allow that. After the Clone Wars, the planet had been destroyed by a cataclysmic event. The main reactor had failed and detonated, exploding a stockpile of hyper matter used for ships.

Skako Minor

Skako Minor is the next planet on the list. This was the home of the Poletec species and thee Skakoans, originally from the planet, Skako had moved in. There they had eventually set up the Techno Union. They had aligned with the Separatists after being persuaded by the smooth-talking Count Dooku.

Following the Bad Batch arc, we move into the Courscant underworld to catch up with Ahsoka and see how she is surviving in the harsh underworld of Coruscant. She makes some new friends there and, of course, gets into some trouble. Eventually, that trouble takes them to Oba Diah, which was covered in last season’s planets.

Yerbana

Yerbana is the next planet on the list. It is located in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. The planet is home to oceans, green fields, and some mountains. The planet had seen a major battle during the Clone Wars and Anakin had bravely fooled the droids and helped secure the Republic's victory, decapitating the tactical droid and flanking the droid army.

The next arc is the Seige of Mandalore and we see the intense battle for the planet’s freedom. Rather than fighting the droids, the Republic is fighting the Mauldalorians.

Unidentified Moon

And finally, we end The Clone Wars on an unidentified moon. This is where Vader picks up Ahsoka’s abandoned lightsabers and returns to his ship, marking the end of the clone wars and a new era, the Imperial reign of the galaxy.

This was a super emotional scene and an extremely important one to include. Did Darth Vader really need to travel to this unidentified moon to check the wreckage and see if Ahsoka lived? No.

But Anakin Skywalker did.

A great way to conclude The Clone Wars, Filoni had certainly outdone himself in this finale. The emotional scene marking a pivotal change in the Star Wars galaxy.
